Mood is the atmosphere that a work of literature creates by word choice, dialogue, and characters. It is meant by the Author to evoke a certain feeling in the audience. In Pygmalion, the mood that is produced is mainly comical. George Bernard Shaw creates a humorous mood by making Eliza's character to be laughable and ignorant of social conventions. He makes Higgins's character humorous because he is high society and has yet terrible manners. The character's personalities and dialogues are what create an atmosphere that is light and funny.
