Tone is the way that the Author feels about aspects of his novel, in which he conveys in a certain way. Often times, the tone of a novel is shown by word choice and is directed towards characters. The tone of Pygmalion as set by George Bernard Shaw is extremely comical, and often pokes fun at social classes.
