Shavian is of or relating to George Bernard Shaw's work. In order for a piece of work to be considered 'Shavian' it should have witty dialogue, the characters be ridiculous and not act according to society's rules, and use irony and sarcasm to portray humor. Other than Pygmalion being 'shavian' simply because it was written by George Bernard Shaw, it obviously meets all of the requirements of shavian pieces. Pygmalion heavily relies on irony to make situations comic, the dialogue between the characters are laughable, and even the characters themselves are ridiculous and downright silly. All of which definitely mark Pygmalion as a shavian play.
